I like chewing gum.It sounds rude but chewing gum makes my brain utilize oxygen more frequently and also if I fall asleep with gum is never a good idea and if I keep chewing, I should not fall asleep.I have heard the psychologists say,chewing gum increases blood flow to the brain. Increased heart rate improves oxygen delivery to the brain which can enhance our cognitive powers,so chewing can take away sleepiness and improve my memory as well.This is my best way to avoid falling asleep in class.
