| Let your eyes have a break. It is better to leave your seat and find a distant target to look at for about 10 seconds until your vision becomes at infinite focus and your eyes become relaxed. Move your eyes: If you have to sit in front of your computer for hours and do not have a chance to leave your seat, you can do some eye movement exercises as follow: Move your eyes around clockwise;Move your eyes from left to right, from top to bottom.Repeat it 3 times each for relaxing your eyes. Blink your eyes to make tears secrete, keep the eyes wet. This is more important if you wear contact lenses. Many people concentrate too much on their work, blinking infrequently. This results in the eyes becoming drier. Breathe regularly: Help with accelerating blood flow. Because of too much focusing on staring at computer screen, your breath might slow down or become shallow. Hence, remind yourself of breathing regularly and fully for relaxing. Put your computer on a low table, or use a portable computer so your eyes look down when you work. Looking downward means more of the eye surface is covered by the eyelid, and two other things happen: the eyes unconsciously blink more, and they produce more lubrication. Adjust your screen distance. The distance between your eyes and the screen should be from 50 to 70 cm and 10 to 20 cm lower than your eyesight. Since angles and distance can reduce refraction and lessen tiredness for your eyes. Belinda Barbie ^^ | |

| To protect my eyes when I use a computer all day long. I always follow these 3 steps. 1.Let your eyes have a break. It is better to leave your seat and find a distant target to look at for about 10 seconds until your vision becomes at infinite focus and your eyes become relaxed. 2.Move your eyes. If you have to sit in front of your computer for hours and don't have a chance to leave your seat, you can do some eye movement exercises as follow: Move your eyes around clockwise;Move your eyes from left to right, from top to bottom.Repeat it 3 times each for relaxing your eyes. 3.Have appropriate light. The ambient light at where you work should have moderate illumination that is helpful to your eyes. Remember that the computer screen already generates its own light that is enough for you to look. If you work in an office with conventional electrooptic lights, you may wish to use another small table lamp when using your computer.

| Taking Proper Care of Your Eyes Take five-minute breaks every hour by looking off into the distance and looking away from the computer monitor. Just close your eyes for a few minutes when your work requires prolonged data input into the computer. When a worker can see a light on the surface of his or her screen, this is the case of reflective glare. This glare can also be seen on smoothly polished desk tops. The sources of reflected glare can be windows, reflective walls, luminaires or reflective clothing. You can control the reflective glare by the methods suggested in each of the steps below. | When you are staring at a computer screen for most of your day you’re probably familiar with dry, red and tired eyes. You’ve probably tried most of the popular solutions; shifting the window blinds, changing the angle of your laptop or monitor in relation to light sources, adjusting the brightness of the LCD screen or increasing the font size on the screen. One way to combat computer eye strain is to install an antiglare screen protector. There are only a few on the market and they range from the bulky hang off the monitor type to the film overlay on the LCD screen. Using any of these, you can eliminate nearly all of the UV light that reflects from your screen into your eyes.

- Limit contact lens wear: If you are a contact lens wearer and your eyes have very little tears secreted and easily get dry, you may wish to consider wearing normal glasses instead of contact lenses. People who use computers for long period of time should consider regular (e.g. 6 months) eye sight check-ups with an optician.
- Eat food for sight (DHA): Some kinds of sea fish contain DHA which can be good for the eyes' retinas and prevent eye injury and Cataract. The best sources include salmon, trout, sardines, herring and Arctic char. Vegetable wise: carrots, limes and green vegetables are also recommended for eyes. Seeds include antioxidants which can reduce eyes degeneration and may help preserve or improve eyesight.
- Get more Vitamin A from fruits and vegetables: Certain foods with Vitamin A can help with the health of your eyes. These include certain fruits (e.g., mango, tomatoes and watermelon), vegetables (e.g., carrots, pumpkin and sweet potato), cereals, fish and eggs. Drinking plenty of water also helps to reduce eyes drying as water can help with hydration.

| Every time I use computer, I always wear a pair of glasses that are made specifically for computer use. Then take a break and look away from my computer every half hour by gazing at a distant object or blink my eyes 10 times by closing your eyes as if falling asleep and get up and move around for five minutes.

| When I use computer more than 1 hour, I always take a break for my eyes at least 5 minutes by looking at another view such as the landscape outside the window or closing my eyes for a while. I won't stare at computer screen too much. In the near future, I will buy the computer glasses to protect my eyes from the light of computer screen. Nantanut 024 3EN | |

| I have easy method to protect our eyes from computer that is checking to see how bright the screen is. If the screen is bright, it can harm your eyes but you don't want it so dim that you have to squint either. Set the dimness to where it makes the computer dark enough to not hurt your eyes but light enough that you can still see the words. Jamrut 009 3EN | |

| The light from the computer screen is very dangerous for your eyes. It can destroy you eyes if you stair at ti for a long time. So today I have some way to protect your eyes from the light of computer to share with you. 1 Take five-minute breaks every hour by looking off into the distance and looking away from the computer monitor. 2 Just close your eyes for a few minutes when your work requires prolonged data input into the computer. 3 Keep the distance of the monitor from your eyes between 16 to 30 inches. Most people find a distance of 20 to 26 inches comfortable. 4 Make sure that the top of the monitor is at a level slightly below the horizontal eye level. 5 Tilt the top of the monitor away from you at a 10- to 20-degree angle. Most monitors are provided with tillable display screens, which enable you to tilt the monitor to create an optimum viewing angle. 6 Keep your screen free of dust and fingerprints. 7 Use an adjustable chair that enables you to sit at a proper angle and distance from your computer monitor screen. 8 Use document holders to secure any reading material or reference material, if your work involves prolonged data entry. Place the document holders close to the monitor and at the same distance from your eyes as your monitor. This enables your eyes to remain focused as they look from the monitor to the reading material. 9 Use a work surface whose height is 26 inches from the ground. 10 Keep the distance from the front of your chair to the hollow of your knee between 2 to 4 inches. 11 Use a character size that is visible. The character size is an important factor since it determines the distance at which the user prefers to view the monitor. By fallow these way it can protect your eyes and reduce the effect from the light of computer screen. | |

| 1) Take Breaks - Look away from your computer every half hour. Give your eyes a rest by gazing at a distant object. Better yet, physically get up and move around for five minutes. 2) Palm - Relax your eyes and nervous system with palming, a yogic technique said to preserve eye health. Rub your hands together vigorously. Once your palms are hot from the friction, gently cup them over your eyes, overlapping your fingers on your forehead. Do not press on the eyes. Breathe deeply and relax for at least 30 seconds. You’ll feel refreshed after doing this exercise for even a short time. Duenchat 024, 4EN | |

| It is not a good idea for using your eyes on the computer many hours. For me,I use the basic method to protect my eyes by wearing sunglasses. If you look on screen without nothing protect, the light will hurt your eyes. When you’re not in front of your computer, you can still protect your eyes from incoming light.

| It's so hard to look away. But you really should, at least occasionally. And "remind yourself to blink." Sure, long days spent in front of your computer might make perfect posture difficult to maintain (and our office, at least, has an unofficial policy against wearing plaid shorts, even on Casual Fridays). But a blasé attitude toward "eye-gonomics" while you're doing all of your little computing work could be the reason you're experiencing eye strain, neck and shoulder pain, dry eyes, or blurred vision. The first step is admitting that you have a problem (a #firstworldproblem, if you'd like, but a problem nonetheless). From there, experts recommend some easy ways to protect your eyes during media binges: Reduce glare by cleaning your screen and making sure it's the most brightly glowing thing in the room. Try not to use your smartphone in direct sunlight. Also, grey backgrounds are easier on your eyes than white. Sit an arm's length away from your computer screen. They recommend the "high-five test": if you can't properly high-five your computer screen (full arm extension is key, people!), you're sitting too close. The screen shouldn't be tilted, and should be positioned right below eye level. "Remind yourself to blink." Screens have a way of making you forget to do that. Take what they call a "20-20-20 break": Every 20 minutes, give yourself 20 seconds to check out what's going on 20 feet away from you. Consider buying a pair of glasses made specifically for computer use. If you think you can pull them off. Kullasatree 010 4EN | |
