• Contain water in a bowl or something like that whenever you wash vegetables or fruits, do not let them under running faucets, then making use of the water to irrigate your garden.

• Whenever you use water, use a moderate amount of it.

• If you wash your car, do not run water on your car until it is clean; limit the amount of water in a bucket and use your hands and soap to save more water.
• In rainy season, you can collect and use water from rains to water plants or to wash your car.

There are 7 ways that I want to recommend you about how to save water.
-Don't flush the toilet every time you use it - as the saying goes: "If it's yellow let it mellow; if it's brown flush it down".
-Install a dual-flush toilet - then if necessary you can use short flushs for a pee and a longer flush for the rest.
-Put a suitable container in your toilet cistern - this could be a brick or plastic container or so-called hippo and it will restrict the amount of water used with each flush.
-Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth - a running tap uses more water than necessary.
-Take a shower instead of a bath - a conventional shower (as opposed to a power shower) uses around two-thirds less water than a bath.
-Don't use more water than you need to boil the kettle - if you're only making one or two cups of tea/coffee, you simply don't need to fill the kettle.
-Keep a jug of water in the fridge - then, when you want really cold water, you don't have to run the tap to get it.

There are many ways to save water. For example :

 Turn the faucet/tap off while you are brushing your teeth, shaving, washing your hands, doing dishes, and so on. Turn the tap off when you shower, too. Get wet, then turn off the water while you soap up. Turn it back on for long enough to rinse. Look for a twist valve that installs behind your shower head to keep the water temperature where you set it while the water is off.

 Catch the cold water that comes out of the faucet, tap, or shower while you are waiting for the hot water. Use it to water plants or pour into your toilet reservoir after flushing.

 Install low-flow shower heads and faucets or faucet aerators. Low-flow devices are inexpensive ($10-$20 for a shower head and less than $5 for a faucet aerator). Most simply screw into place (you may need an adjustable wrench), and good, current units maintain the pressure and feel of the flow while using as little as half as much water as conventional units.

 Use mulch on your garden to retain moisture. Ideal mulch candidates include hay, manure, leaves, wood chips, bark, and newspaper. Many mulches are available for free or very low cost. The right organic mulch can also help improve your soil as it breaks down and keep weeds in check.
