| A wide range of methods for saving my ears as follows 1. TURN IT DOWN Make sure your music player is at the halfway mark or lower – that’s still loud enough for some good listening! But how can you tell if the music is too loud? If you're listening to your music and you can’t understand what your friend is saying to you – it’s too loud. If your friend is listening to his or her MP3 player on earbuds – and you can hear the music – it’s too loud If you’re watching TV or playing video games and the noise bothers other people – it’s too loud. 2. STAND BACK FROM THE NOISE! The farther back you are from the source of sound, the quieter and less dangerous it is. At a concert, you don’t have to be up close and hugging those amplifiers, because the sound blast could make your ears ring for days. Stand back and be safe! 3. WEAR EARPLUGS OR OTHER HEARING PROTECTION! And that’s earplugs, not earbuds. Earplugs reduce the amount of decibels coming into to your ears, making it safer for you to listen. Wear ear plugs at a concert, a truck show or at the hockey rink...at the arcade or at car races and fireworks. You will still hear all the great sounds, but not have to worry about damaging your hearing. Besides earplugs, there are great over-the-ear muffs and headgear that you can wear during noisy activities, like cutting the grass.

| Because our hearing is somewhat impaired, so I have some ways to save hearing. 1) GIVE YOUR EARS A BREAK!. Damage occurs not only because of how LOUD you listen to music or other sounds, but also how LONG! If you are somewhere loud, give your ears regular breaks from the noise. Same thing with your music player – take regular breaks to rest your ears. 2) CHECK YOUR HEARING! Now is a good time to have your hearing checked and get a baseline audiogram (a picture of your hearing test results). >>>>> Siriam Luadthaisong 039 3EN

| Hearing is the gatekeeper to human communication — it is one of the primary ways in which we connect with other people. Those of us who hear clearly probably cannot appreciate how difficult hearing loss can be. It can even lead to isolation and withdrawal from many pleasurable activities. You can help protect your hearing, starting today. The most important thing you can do is protect your ears from loud noises. Any sound that’s loud enough to hurt your ears, prompt temporary hearing loss, or cause ringing in the ears can destroy hair cells and lead to permanent hearing loss. Such noises include leaf blowers, lawn mowers, wood chippers, chain saws, snowblowers, and some household appliances, like vacuum cleaners and blow dryers. Jariya Ruangrua 007 3EN

| I'm the one who love listening to music. Especially MP3 player. But too much using it will be make our ears trouble. These are some tips I find out in the internet to saving our ears when we listen to music in the MP3 player. 1. Make sure earbuds fit snugly in your ears. If they don’t block out background noise, you’ll end up turning up the volume! 2. Sound-attenuating earbuds help keep the sound below the danger level – but still enjoyable! 3. Use over-the-ear head phones - they sound better and are better for you. Amolwan 050 3EN | |

| Noise-induced hearing loss is usually painless, progressive and always permanent but can also be 100 percent preventable. Here are the top five ways you to help prevent it: 1. Monitor your exposure time to sounds over 85 dB and take periodic 15-minute "quiet" breaks. Although the maximum time to safely be exposed to 85 dB is 8 hours, the maximum time to safely be exposed to 100 dB is only 15 minutes. See pie-chart for more information. 2. Avoid hazardous sound environments. If you have to raise your voice to be heard, you are in a potentially hazardous environment for your hearing. This includes loud music performances, operating power tools and driving with the windows down at high speeds. 3. Whenever you can't get away from an extreme sound environment, wear hearing protection, such as foam, silicone or pre-molded earplugs, earmuffs or custom earplugs. Look for products with noise-reduction ratings (NRR) of at least 9dB. Most products provide a NRR of 22dB or greater. To hear music and conversation clearly, look for high fidelity hearing protection. They will reduce all sound frequencies equally, and can often make listening to music more enjoyable than without any protection. Shooter's plugs combined with earmuffs should be used for hunting and target practice. All can be found over the counter at your local drugstore or sporting goods shop. 4. Move away from on-stage monitors or amplifiers. Position yourself so you are not directly in front of the speaker while performing or listening. Musicians should avoid practicing at performance levels when possible. Belinda Barbie ^^ | |

Then, as you get older, you can compare the audiograms to see if you’ve been doing a good job of protecting your hearing. And don’t forget – if you have ringing in your ears, or if voices sound muffled, NOW is the time to have a hearing test.

| it isnt really how much you listen to it, but how loud you hear it. keep it at a comftorable volume. a good way to test that the volumes ok is that you should be able to hear someone in the backround talking to you. if they have to scream to get your attention, then the music is too loud. i suggest you go to a hearing doctor right away. and make an appointment soon so you dont have to listen to your music untill the doctor says its ok. even if you stop listening to it your hearing will get worse abd worse because you already got it bad. there is no way to fix what is already done to your ears, but there are ways to prevent more damage from happening. visit a hearing doctor, tell him about what volume you keep your music at, and have him/her choose a new volume for you to listen too. i am not sure if there is any over-the-counter eardrops for this, so ut is best to go to a doctor soon to fill out a perscription.
