Is it necessary to use English more often than your own language?

Yes, I think it is very necessary. In the current period, can't speak English is a shameful thing. Because wherever people already speak English, although only using a few simple words, but still, it has become imperative. The world has set the international language, English. Inevitably, we have to learn it. Not that we don't use our own language in everyday life, but we should also get used to converse in English.

I think it depends on the situation.
If you are with your parents at home I think it not essential to use English.
But when you are in English class or in the situation that you have to talk with foreigners ,It is important to use English.

It depends on the situation. Sometimes when I want to chat with my friends I chat in English. When I want to talk about some foreigner and I don't want them to know I speak Isaan language.
Anyway sometimes it is good to practice English with friends and use English more than Thai.

It is vital to practice English in any situations of our daily life instead of a mother-tongue language. Basically, we can speak English with our friends in spite of the grammatical mistakes. You can blame on someone or something in English; it helps our English speaking skill as well. Taking note in every class should be done in English as well as watching TV/TV news or listening to music in English without your own language subtitle makes your all English skills better.

If you are in your hometown, you have to speak your own language.
If you are with the foreigners, you have to speak English absolutely
because the foreigner will undrstand you and be able to talk to you.
So, you have to speak both of them.

Well, I could say that English is important but if you still in Thailand you still have to use Thai much more than English. I've been trying to use more English, the result is English can't explain everything, some words don't exit in English, we still have to use Thai to make our talk make sense. I do agree with you that we always use English for communicate with each other. In 2013, Thailand is going to be apart of the ASEAN community,people around from the other countries thaey can speak english fluently, but the Thai people cannot understand that much. It's very very essential to use english as second language in Thailand.
