| In my opinion both are difficult but I think Thai is more difficult. Thai has many levels of words. When we use it we have to use it correctly, particularly written language. To be honest, I can't spell every word in Thai 100% correctly. That's embarrassing -_- On the other hand, English is sometimes hard to understand. I don't like grammar but I love talking to the native speakers. It's excited !!

| Both Thai and English are really really difficult. Especially, about grammar; I am weak at both Thai grammar and English grammar. It is so hard to understand so I have to study hard when I have a test. Wipawee 036 3EN | |

| It depends on where you are at that time. If you are in Thailand, you speak Thai. If you are abroad, you speak English. You should not speak English when you are in Thai without English class, talking to foreigner or any seminar. If you speak in English with your Thai friends in public, you will be unnatural for other people.

| Both Thai and English are difficult but in the different way. For me, Borrowing many words from another country to use in Thai is very hard because you have to remember all of the words: what are the words mean, how to use in sentence and what country that word from. For English, writing and listening are the bad things. When we have to write some paragraph we must fluent in correct words and grammar and also have an idea to write. That are so difficult. About listening, I sometimes don't understand some accent because I always study with the American teacher. That's so trouble. Amolwan 050 3EN | |

| I think English is more difficult than Thai because Thai is mother language I can communicate with other people.
Even though there are many detail in Thai, I can speak everyday.
English is quit difficult. There are the words that have more than one meaning so I'm confused.

| I think Thai is more difficult to learn but it is easier to understand that you don't have to use the tense correctly | |

| I think both Thai and English are difficult. I am Thai so I found Thai is easier to understand. Well, I still think Thai is harder. It has tones which a single word can mean different things for example; Ma with a downward intonation is dog, upward it means a horse. In English the same word can mean different things, but the difference doesn't come from how but it is pronounced. The hard part of English is grammar. it always confuses me. Some tenses are just slightly different but why makes it complicated to use so many tenses in English.... I never get it Supaphorn 040 3EN

| For me, Thai is more difficult. It has a tone of each words specifically. With more than 40+ alphabets and 20+ vowels, Thai is absolutely harder than English.
I know how to teach English for Thai people, but I don't know how to teach Thai for foreigners.

| I will answer this question in case of not being both of two native speakers . I think that Thai are indentity and so difficult. There are five tones. If you say wrong tone, the meaning will change immediately. I found most problem for foreinger that the most difficult thing is how to accent and speak correctly. Some tones or vowel have not in their country but have only in Thailand. Thailand ONLY again Sayumporn065 3EN | |

| In my own view, Thai language is more tough than English. Although Thai is my mother tongue, it's hard for me to learn. Actually, since I was born, I have been taught by my parents in Thai. So i can speak Thai in my daily life. But in my degree now, I am studying the second language that is English. As I know English is more easier than Thai to learn. The rules in English is very okay. Its not too much too learn. You know, Thai language has many tone of voice when we speak. I used to teach Thai to my foreign friends. It's hard to pronounce some words because English doesn't have that sound. Moreover, Thai has 44 alphabets while English only has 26 alphabets. So it's fast to learn English. As I said English is more comfortable to learn.

| Both of them are difficult in defferent way. For me, I think Thai is more difficult than English. The pronounciation is quite hard because there are many words that are similar to other words. Reading and writing also, it's very hard because in Thai, the words we write are adjoining that's hard to read. But the Thai grammartical rules are easy to understand; there are not many rules to learn like English.

| I think both of Thai and English are difficult. Thai there are many alphabets and vowel but English there are less than Thai. In term of writing I prefer English is easier because there aren't complicated vowel just in the one line not up and down like Thai.Anyway we should conserve our mother tongue and try to learn English as well for the future.

| Thai language is as difficult as English language. Although I have been taught in Thai language and brought up in Thailand, I find Thai very difficult to learn and understand especially Thai formal language consisting of tones, ending words, levels of words and so on. Thai language is an eminent language because of its intonation marks. For English language, it is not my mother-tongue language that I have been studying since I was in kindergarten, and my mother cannot speak any English words. My trouble of studying English is the vocabulary, like other Thai students, but I have proved it by using the technique of Word Formation. It is getting better. Last point-- grammatical rules of Thai and English are very tougher than other things and it takes quite long time to understand and use it correctly

| I think both of them are difficult! But they are difficult in the different way. Thai language has too many vocabularies and classes of language and English language has too many tenses to remember! But when I compare between these two things I think that Thai language is still harder! and more difficult than English language! Because we have the class of word, we have to remember too many things. We have a very hard accent and it is so difficult to pronounce. They are the reasons why I think Thai language is more difficult than English language!
