Why English is important for AEC?

Because English is official language of ASEAN. The Asean Economic Community will open up a free labour market among the ten member countries of ASEAN in 2015, with professionals and skilled workers who possess an advanced level of English language proficiency having the edge on other applicants for a job position, since this language is the common medium for international communication in both the public and private sectors.

For sure it is English language and English is the on of important language in this world. If you can not speak English,you are called very poor in this society. You will feel loser and lack of opperunity in many ways such as hard to find work and can not open wide world. The best solution is learn English language.

As we know, Thailand will join the AEC in the next three years. That is a great opportunity for all members of the group who will be able to share freely, no need of a visa, no travel restriction, no tax-related issue as if the group becomes a unitary state. After the official declaration of AEC, every single country in the group will be forced to use English as an official language to transform into an international community. Therefore, English is very importance for AEC.

AEC 2015, as known as ASEAN Economic Community 2015, is a uniting of 10 ASEAN countries, which are Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, and Brunei. AEC 2015 will bring a new era of economical cooperation to all 10 countries. Investors can invest anywhere in these countries. Workers can go work anywhere in these countries also with no tight restriction like before. Competition will get fiercer for those who are not well-prepared.
