Can we change someone?

I think nobody can change a person but someone can be the reason
for the person to change.
We sometimes cannot change or control our mind.
If we want to change , i think it is hard and take a long time to change into what you want.

We can’t change others. We can’t and we shouldn’t want to.
I know, you may be thinking, if you knew so and so, you would change your mind about trying to change people. But, regardless of whether someone else needs to change or not, it is not our job to do it. We would know, we should be far busier changing ourselves to worry about others.

I think we can't change someone because everyone has his/her own identity,
such as, thought, personality, character, and lifestyle.
If we want someone to be what we like or be the same to us, it's very hard.
I think it's better to help if they want to change themselves for solving problems.
But if they have to change because we don't like them, I think it's bad.
We have to respect everyone's style and don't change them if they don't want

It's possible to change someone mind If you are important enough for them.Nobody will open the door to having their minds changed without first being allowed to air their side of the situation, to get it out and make their point. It is important for people not only to be given the opportunity to express it, but also to believe that they are being given the respect they feel is due to them and their opinion. Don't try to change them if you are not goo enough.

We just change someone just for a short time.
As time goes by, they will be the same.
So, the best way is you and they have to adapt and accept the bad and good things of each other.

You can't change people, but it sounds like he's changing on his own so you don't have to.

Unfortunately, based on the information you're offering, I don't think I would trust this guy or his "change" further than I could throw him (probably about 5 feet or less); however, that doesn't mean that my mistrust is correct.
I have known some really bad boys who turned their lives around completely. Usually it takes a little bit of jail and poverty before love makes the finishing touches, but anything is possible, I suppose.

My advice would be to give him a chance and hang with him, since he's obviously working on change, and that's admirably more than most people will give anybody.
