what is your favorite festival/holiday?

My favorite festival is New Year. It is 31 December to 1  January .  I think many people from different countries  celebrate New Year but not the same time.  People celebrate the New Year because they want to say goodbye to last years and have a better new years .Before the New Year party the usually clean all house and cook some food for it. We go to store to buy some soft  drinks for the party and find the nice music.I like it because we with my friends have good party and the have after that very good memories . It's my favorite festival because it's good time to spend it with my friends and family .  It's the best time to look fireworks in my country , than night firework is every there.

I always enjoy Song Kran festival in Thailand. Since ำveryone gets soaking wet and since it is the hottest season of the year, the custom is quite refreshing. Songkran is a Public Spring Cleaning Day, supported by the religious belief that anything old and useless must be thrown away or it will bring bad luck to the owner. During the afternoon of the 13th, Buddha images are bathed as part of the ceremony. Young people pour scented water into the hands of elders and parents as a mark of respect while seeking the blessing of the older people. In ancient days, old people were actually given a bath and clothed in new apparel presented by the young folks as a token of respect for the New Year. Until recently Thailand was almost entirely an agricultural society and this has been a perfect time to take break from the business of earning a living. The rice harvest is in, and replanting has to await the coming of the rains.

My favorite festival is Songkran festival of Thailand because having activities to do such as Traditional Songkran: Pouring water over elders’ hands, throw tons of water around" someting like that. Traditionally speaking, Songkran tradition was the time of year when the rice harvest was in and farmers had to wait for the rains to begin in order to plant their rice.This would be the driest point of each year so it would seem sort of illogical to waste water by pouring it over elders’ hands but amazingly, gradually over the years Songkran has developed into an orgy of water throwing using buckets and water guns. unless you plan to sequester yourself in your room for three days YOU WILL GET WET WET WET!

My favorite holdiay is definitely Songkran Day, because I get to spend time with my family and my friends. I love the traditions involved. The old traditions, and the new ones. For example, last year, my family and I are starting a new tradition of decorating our house together. Each year we hold a big party and attend the same Holiday parties. I love Songkran Day because I enjoy spending time with my family and also splashing water to people.

But the thing I really like about it is that we can throw water on other people.  

One thing I hate is that it is too hot on Songkran day and sometimes it rains.

I like Christmas because we get to exchange gifts with friends and family. Exchanging gifts with friends and family is great part to Christmas because everyone has fun receiving new things. In all families there are lots of traditional meals. The best things I like about the foods are the desserts like cake, brownies, and other types of sweets.

very good time to relax by splash the water to each other.In this festival my family has many
