Maybe the teacher can ask the students for help.
- Can anybody fix?
- Does anyone know how to fix it?

The headphones are missing/unplugged/the wrong way round/ broken/damaged.
The buttons was switched off/in the off position.
The volume was turned down.
The button wasn’t pressed.
I may have pressed the wrong button.
The controls are locked.
The controls have been incorrectly set.
The settings have been changed.
The monitor is off/flickering.
