Which activities can use in English class?

If I were a teacher in the future I will use storytelling to encourage my students. Have students tell stories from their own cultures or childhoods. It is fun to take students to a new location to do this, such as a park or a coffee shop.
-Role-playing. Give students lots of opportunity to use the language they are learning in mock-style everyday settings.
-Films/Movies. There are numerous lessons online for incorporating film into your class lessons. This can be done at all levels with great success, especially in a small class. Stop the film often in order to check comprehension and keep students focused.

Watching cartoon is one of the techniques to motivate students in English class.
Almost students like watching cartoon so that the teacher can use cartoon or animation as a media to teach English language. This technique requires both listening skill (soundtrack) and reading skill (subtitle). For sure, students like it very much.

I have a cool activity for using in English class to share with you. It is Motivating speaking activities for lower levels.

hese activities are all designed to motivate lower level learners to speak in pairs or small groups.

Activity type: several short speaking activities

Level: A2+

Definitions lists

This activity is good for activating existing vocabulary or revising vocabulary studied in previous lessons.
Procedure:

Choose a vocabulary topic (this can be vocabulary you have recently studied or a topic you want to introduce). Tell students to write a list of 10 words they associate with this topic. To make the activity shorter, reduce the number of words.
Pre-teach / revise structures for definitions e.g. It’s a thing which / that.... You use it for... You find this in.... It’s an animal / object / place... It’s the opposite of... etc.
Tell students to look at their lists and give them time to think of how they can define these words (3 -5 mins).
Now students work in pairs (or groups of 3) to define their words. Their partner must guess the word they are defining.
A faster moving, fun alternative to this activity is a team game.

Change the vocabulary to lists of famous people / books / films / objects.
Each team writes a list for another team (students can also 3 or 4 words each on strips of paper to draw out of a hat)
Pre-teach / revise structures for definitions e.g. It’s a thing which / that.... You use it for... It’s a film / book / object.... He/ She’s an actor / a politician.... He’s British / American / Spanish...
Each team nominates one person to define the words to their team.
Each team has 1 minute to define as many words as possible.

   

A lot of activities we can use in our English classes but what I prefer most is watching English movies especially a comedy one. I think using movies for the introduction of each class can motivate students in the lessons we are going to teach. Students maybe understand some important parts of those lessons. It is a good way to entertain students in class. After watching a movie, a teacher can ask some questions about that movie, let students summarize the main idea and the outcome of movie, and give a students to do a role-play about the main conflicts of movie. It certainly entertains your students.

Playing video game is one of the good activities to use in English class. It is a good activity to motivate students in class. There are a lot of kind video games. We can apply English skills use

GAMES, SONGS, MOVIES, STORY TELLING, ROLE PLAYS etc. For each activity, teachers
have to concern and think about the suit one for each one because the students are different.

For me, If I teach in speaking skill, I will provide the activities
that use more English to speak out such as role play.
This activity, the all students have opportunity to act out and speak out in English
as much as they can.

In listening skill, I will provide students listen more conversation.
Because I think many students can learn conversation fast and
adapt to daily lives. They will have a chance to listen and practice speaking as well.
I love this activities.

I would like to use music, storytelling, games and so on.
First of all, Music is a very beautiful thing to use in the classroom because in class,
the students will gain the vocabs, grammar, idiom and slang as well as the spoken language from music
so teaching music in class must be totally helpful for students to learn English in classroom.
Second, games seem really practicable to receive about English
because the games can help students review all the knowledge they have learned so far
and also  apply their knowledge to solve the problems in the game,
moreover, it also motivates the students to be alert to take part in the game,
well, the more they practice, The more they will be strong.

I think there are many activities that we can use for encouraging students
such as song, story telling and role play.
For me, Exactly I am interest in English game because I think
If we can make students fun, they may participate class.
Students will join the class because it is a interesting class.
They won't be bored like the old style class that teacher always teach grammar.
Finally, student will love an English subject.
