Can money buy happiness?

"Money cannot buy happiness" it is often claimed. But with money you can buy most of the things that are necessary for happiness: good food, accommodation, entertainment, travel, quality health care. No wonder most people want to make as much money as possible. The saying that money cannot buy happiness has many opponents. They claim that with the help of money it is possible to get the things that constitute happiness, such as delicious food, beautiful house, travel etc. Therefore, it is understandable why people do their best to earn as much as possible. While money can contribute to the happiness of those for who material wealth is paramount, for those who have other priorities money cannot buy happiness. Money can give great satisfaction and feeling of happiness to people, who place high value on material possessions. Having expensive cars, spacious and stylish apartments, good food and all the recent achievements of technology in entertainment is a must for these people. Without these attributes of wealthy life, they might feel inferior, insecure and sometimes morbidly depressed. However, there are people who put a different meaning into the word "happiness". They see happiness in healthy and friendly relations with their families, friends and those who are dear to them. Money cannot buy good relationships. Consequently, it cannot buy happiness for those who hold friendly interaction with people as a priority. Yet, there are other people, who believe that the only way to true happiness is spiritual paths and not through material possessions or loving relationships. They believe that the aim of our human existence is to become as fully human as possible, to realize the full potential inherent in the human condition. Money is considered by them only as means of survival in this world and does not have to do anything with happiness.

Sometimes, I think money can buy happiness.
When does income make a significant difference in our level of happiness? 
If we struggle to afford good housing, food, or education, both life satisfaction and mood plummets.  
Edward Diener, a premier researcher in the field of Positive Psychology,
found that once a person's basic needs are met,
additional income does little to raise his or her sense of satisfaction with life.  
Many other cross-cultural and longitudinal studies have also shown
a very low correlation between material wealth and happiness,
except in cases of extreme poverty where people were deprived of basic needs.

Yes, you can buy happiness by money such as:
-You are surely happy when your stomach is full of food. So, you can buy food by your money.
-You can travel to see the wonderful things around the world by your money.

These are useful of money and there are many of things you can buy if you have money.

I would say "yes". Imagine if you don't have money, are you really happy? 
Can you survive without using money? How can you buy your stuff without money? May be it can't buy everything but it can buy something you need for your basic life.

It depends on how you define your own meaning of "Happiness" .
For me , I'd say "Sometimes, Money can make me happy:P ".
Money can provide me good food, comfortable house , being able to go to see a doctor ,and etc.
Without money , it will be difficult to make basic happiness in daily life.
Basic happiness is just temporary so that  we all will be in despair when it's exhausted.

Hmm I think It's up to each person for interpreting. For me it's up to somethings such as sometimes I want to eat candy my world is candy but I have no money to buy how can I do?, so first I have to have money to buy it. Somethings that I can't buy by money are love and sincere because money can't not buy a good relationship with other people.

I think money can buy happiness but only the things make you happy.
For example, money can help you buy a smartphone. After you got it, I use it all the time.
There are many funny ganes for you to play. When you play it, you are happy but just at that time.
It isn't the long-term happiness.
They can buy the happiness from outside but they can't buy the happiness from your mind.
To have the happiness from your mind is you feel happy with everything who have.
You don't think of finding new things to make you happy.

I believe that the real happiness is come from the bottom of my heart, where the peace is.

Money cannot buy happiness but can make people happy. Sometimes, people could not happy without money. Since money is really necessary for lives these days. Every one need to work for making money to buy what they want. We spend money for buying food. We spend money for education. Almost every thing is bought by money. Money cannot buy happiness directly, it can buy thins to pleased people to be happy though. So, sometimes we cannot say that money cannot buy happiness since almost everyone is sad if they have not enough money. As long as people try to make money for their lives we cannot deny that money cannot buy happiness.
