How to be creative person?

Think like an adult but act like a kid. Adults who are trying to be creative face a lot of creative roadblocks along the way: there are rules about what's allowed and what isn't, how we're supposed to behave and not behave. Those rules are there for a reason (we're not saying they're bad), but they can inhibit your creativity. Instead, use all the natural intelligence you've gained as an adult and where possible, act like a kid. Maintain the wonder you had as a child, and look at every person you meet or every tree you see as endlessly fascinating.
- Kids ask lots of questions to try to understand the world. Don't ever stop doing that.
- Children have a natural creativity that's constantly reinventing itself, partly because they're learning about the world and partly because they don't know that they're not supposed to do certain things.
- Don't be afraid to responsibly break rules. Tap into that playfulness that's inside of us all, and go explore that jungle gym that is the world.

Everyone is creative, but if you don't think you're 'good' enough
to be creative, then chances are you won't be able to be as creative.
Raise your self esteem and you'll find that it's a lot easier to be yourself.

We are often most creative when we do not try to be. Sometimes, ideas just come up to us through insights or unique experiences. Certain dreams are one of them, but we do not really control what we dream about.
- Talk To Others
We often like to see ourselves as the experts and that we should come up with ideas alone. But truth is ideas usually comes from the outside. We get ideas from talking to people who may or may not be expert of your area but they bring to you their own knowledge and expertise.

-Embrace Ambiguity
Most problems are ambiguous and may not actually have a straightforward solution. But isn’t it our goal to find a solution? To think creatively, we must accept that each problems are unique and that it will take time and creative effort to find a solution.

Actually, be harder on yourself than everyone else is.
Always ask yourself, "How could I have done this better?"
or "What would I have done differently in a perfect world?"
Accept that you are not perfect, and that your striving to be as good as possible is the fruit.
If you can't find fault with your own work, you're probably not trying hard enough.

I think you should imagine first by being dare to think outside the box.
Try to find new things that will enhance your imagination.
Be careful that imagination is different from the creating, but imagination build the creating.

This one seems a bit counter-intuitive, but it's important. Lots of perfectionists are afraid of failing, and therefore only do the things they know they are good at. Don't succumb to this mindset. Creativity is like dating: If you never strike out at least some of the time, you're not trying hard enough. So let go of your ego, be prepared to fail (but don't expect it), and jump into new and challenging situations. You're never going to be creative if you never take a leap.

The question that I find myself asking is whether creativity is tied to personality type or whether it can be learned .My own uneducated answer to this question is ‘yes’. Some people are just creative. They don’t train themselves to think like they do and they often don’t even know that they are any different from the rest of us, it’s just who they are. However I believe that we can all enhance our ability to be creative over time.

Try new things. Do something that you have never done before. This can be as extreme as finding a new job or as simple as trying Indonesian food. Read a book on a topic you know nothing about. Strike up a conversation with a stranger and ask him/her about his/her past. Trying new things will expand your references and perspective. Finding new ways of looking at the world increases the value of what you already know by letting you find new uses for it.

Creative people who actually see their ideas come to fruition have the ability to stick with their ideas and see them through – even when the going gets tough. This is what sets them apart from others. Stick-ability is the key.

Creative people recognize how dangerous it is to fall in love with an idea. Falling in love with an idea means stopping more ideas from coming to their mind. They love the process of coming up with ideas, not necessarily the idea.

 Creative people recognize the environment in which they are most creative.

Creative people do most of their thinking in an environment which is most conducive to their creativity. If they are unable to influence their physical environment, they recreate their ‘favourite’ creative environment in their minds.
