What is your favourite song? Explain why.

Many songs move me in different ways. My favourite song is "Angel" by Vancouver-based singer/songwriter, goddess of music, Sarah McLachlan. It's a beautiful piano ballad with really intense lyrics. It has sentimental meaning to me and makes me cry every time I hear it, but it's also very comforting. Of course, Sarah's voice tops it off! I also love "In The Wings" by Tara MacLean; another one of Nettwerk's artists. It uses imagery and Tara's sweet, soothing voice to create a gorgeous package. I've just recently discovered Melanie Doane's "Waiting For The Tide" which is about surrendering yourself to a higher power--that being the water-- which I find myself very connected to. I'm drawn to the water and that song just speaks such simple truth. And finally, for fun, to show that I'm not all about dark, serious singers, I also love "Go to the Moon" by Toronto's funny guys Moxy Fruvous. The harmonies in that song will blow you away and anything by Moxy will always put a smile on anyone's face.

Music is a very important part of my life. It helps me to go through the hard time, brings the ease to my mind and makes my life easier! The lyric from most of the songs really touches my soul, makes me think of important people in my life. I cannot pick just one song. That is so hard to do. I listen to all kinds of music and my favorite song would depend on my mood. Here are some of my all the time favorite songs.

I heard this song first time when my friends sang a song on the English camp.

I have many favorite songs. I like listening to music and I often found the new song I like.
But there is a song I always like it and listen to it without boring.
My favorite song is "Queen of my heart" by Westlife. It's an old song but I still listen to it.
I like the slow melody and the story of the song.
The song is about two lovers who have to go to the different places for following their different dreams.
Is sounds sad but the story of the song isn't sad because they spent time together all night long
and the boy told the girl "You know you are the queen of my heart". He will keep this love for her until they meet again.
I can feel the love of them. It is the song about departure but it isn't sad because they will come to be together again.
That's why I like this song.

I love to listen to music, but I am not like other people who often listen to the music that is popular at a time. The part of music that attracts me is the attitude of the writers and the tone, because the songs represent the writers’ mood and feeling. Through the songs people can receive what the writers try to express, so I often listen to pop and acoustic songs. These two types of music contain different languages but they are all my favorite song styles. I often just sit on the chair and do nothing. This happened when I was quite tired or sleepy; for example, sitting on the MRT or buses, I do not think or do anything. I do not like to be disturbed by others, I want my own space. And acoustic music can help me get away from my busy life and clean up my soul.
