Why most I-sarn like to eat papaya salad?

I am an I -sarn.
I do like to eat somtom a lot.
Now,I am eating papaya salad alone but it
is delicious even no friends. I still keep eating
untill I am very full.
Somtam is my favorite dish to eat with
others. I like to eat it mixed another food.
It helps refresh tasty a lot. I feel happy when I eat somtam.

First, it 's easy to find the ingredients and cook!.

Next, it's good for a person who want to diet.

Hahaha I think it's in our blood. I think I can't avoid eating such a yummy dish like this.

It's the best food to eat with friends. I love it especially Tum Poo Pla ra.

I think because it is easy to make and it is cheap that's why we love it.

I can't explain but people in I-sarn known that It's in our blood .Papaya slad has real name is Som Tam and it originated in Lao & Thailand. You can have it with shrimp, crab or just plain. It is eaten with sticky rice and is fiery hot ! You can't really compare it to a phal or vindaloo as curries are a totally different type of dish.
