What are the reasons why people like to listen to music?

Peoples select different music at different time concordance with listening time’s mood and objectives. Spiritual songs give us thought about others and about after life. I think this is one of the best ways to reduces sin and to repeal darkness from our mind. Folk songs tell about our culture and heritage. Decades after decades these songs preserve culture successfully. Country songs help us to love country and its people. For example, during liberation war in Bangladesh some country songs encouraged us to fight vigorously. Though I believe fight is not good things but history says some times it is inevitable.
Most people listen to music because they love the rythm, beat and mostly the lyrics to it, while others listen to it because it may suit there lifestyle, feelings or even may express theirselves with it. People also listen to some particular music because the lyrics may remind them on someone or some event that may have happened that is related in anyway of the type of song. Since most songs are based on common love (relationship) stories, some people who have a similar relationship to the story may be more likely to listen to the song, than others.

It expresses emotion and power and to some people like you or I, it's the difference between sitting in a room, bored, or being on top of the world looking down on all the events happening and having music illustrate them for you. Everytime when I am feeling stress I will always listen to music. To me music is everything. It is always there for me whenever I am feeling down or happy or stress. I am glad that music came into my life. Without music I think my life will be in a very horrible situation.

I think people like listening to music because of two reasons.
The first reason is music can be their friend when they are alone.
