I think reading entertainment books is not a waste of time for children. Reading entertainment books can improve thinking capacity and language skills of children. Educational books at school are primarily focused on examination. Therefore children tend to memorize the important texts from the books just for the sake of exams. Moreover, they find it really boring to go through whole books. In contrast entertainment books open up children's imaginations. It allows them to enhance their creativity dramatically and immensely. Further more they learn many words and improve their reading skill as well.
