| Most of us suffer from a lack of oxygen. Whether from improper breathing (see Importance of Proper breathing), poor diets, air pollution or lack of exercise, our cells are being deprived of this vital element and thus weakening our immune system. Oxygen (O2) is one of the most important elements required to sustain life. Without it, our health begins to suffer and/or we die. Unhealthy or weak cells due to improper metabolism lose their natural immunity and are thus susceptible to viruses and lead the way to all kinds of serious health problems. O2 not only gives us life but destroys also the harmful bacteria in our bodies without affecting the beneficial bacteria that we need. No antibiotic or drug can make that claim. I believe that God’s plan for mankind was for us to lead a physically productive life in a clean environment, following His dietary laws and not require drugs to remain healthy...our bodies would then receive the sustenance it needs. | |

| Oxygen is very importance for human and all kinds of animals. We can not live without it. We need oxygen when we breath in and out. So if in this world don't have oxygen all creature will die. Another side of the importance of oxygen are............ Environmental Impact Total dissolved gas concentrations in water should not exceed 110 percent. Concentrations above this level can be harmful to aquatic life. Fish in waters containing excessive dissolved gases may suffer from "gas bubble disease"; however, this is a very rare occurrence. The bubbles or emboli block the flow of blood through blood vessels causing death. External bubbles (emphysema) can also occur and be seen on fins, on skin and on other tissue. Aquatic invertebrates are also affected by gas bubble disease but at levels higher than those lethal to fish. Adequate dissolved oxygen is necessary for good water quality. Oxygen is a necessary element to all forms of life. Natural stream purification processes require adequate oxygen levels in order to provide for aerobic life forms. As dissolved oxygen levels in water drop below 5.0 mg/l, aquatic life is put under stress. The lower the concentration, the greater the stress. Oxygen levels that remain below 1-2 mg/l for a few hours can result in large fish kills. Biologically speaking, however, the level of oxygen is a much more important measure of water quality than feacal coliform. Dissolved oxygen is absolutely essential for the survival of all aquatic organisms ( not only fish but also invertebrates suach as crabs, clams, zooplankton, etc). Moreover, oxygen affects a vast number of other water indicators, not only biochemical but esthetic ones like the odor, clarity and taste. Consequently, oxygen is perhaps the most well-established indicator of water quality. Environmental Impact Total dissolved gas concentrations in water should not exceed 110 percent. | Oxygen is important on earth so that all the people and animal's can breath. It is also important to all of our vegetation, crops, and and all of our water supplies. Without oxygen life as we know it would cease.

Unhealthy or weak cells due to improper metabolism lose their natural immunity and are thus susceptible to viruses and lead the way to all kinds of serious health problems. Oxygen is not the main constituent of Earth's atmosphere, comprising 21% of the total compared with Nitrogen's 78%, but its role in the survival of many forms of life elevates its significance. Most people are well aware of the important role oxygen plays in metabolic processes, but the fact that oxygen in the atmosphere owes its existence as much to life as life owes its existence to it is often overlooked. It was life itself that created an oxygenated atmosphere and continues to maintain it.

| Oxygen is important as it sustains human life. Other than its use in respiration, oxygen is also used in industries to convert iron ore to steel, to treat water and in the production of polymers, which make fabrics and plastics. Oxygen is important for all living creatures because it is important for our cells to survive. Cells within our body need oxygen in order for them to perform their function. If our body does not have enough oxygen, our cells will not be working properly. If total oxygen is removed, our cells will die and eventually so will the person.

| this is actually biology. but Oxygen is the final electron receptor after your body makes its energy. if you do not get enough oxygen, fermentation occurs which is why your muscles ache in a hard workout. The ironic part is that Oxygen in large quatities is actually poisonous. Weird. we need it to survive, but to much can severely damage us.
well, oxygen as an ion has a negative 2 charge. thus early chemists would be able to predict the structure of the molecules with this information. For example the structures of nitrates and sulfates and clorates.
additionally with ionic compounds involving oxygen, you would by analyzing the proportions of oxygen to the other element be able to find out how many valence electrons were in the molecule and be able to find out molecular fomula of the molecule.

| Importance of Oxygen What The Experts Say On The Importance Of Oxygen
"Deep breathing techniques which increase oxygen to the cell are the most important factors in living a disease free and energetic life... Remember. Where cells get enough oxygen, cancer will not, cannot occur." --Dr. Otto Warburg, President, Institute of Cell Physiology, Nobel Prize Winner (Dr. Warburg is the only person to ever win the Nobel Prize twice in medicine and he was nominated for a third.)
"Breathing correctly is the key to better fitness, muscle strength, stamina, and athletic endurance." --Dr. Michael Yessis, Phd., President Sports Training Institute, Fitness Writer - Muscle and Fitness Magazine
