WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE FOR TRAVEL IN THE WINTER?

Winter, or more specifically cool season, is the time most preferred by Thai and foreign travelers, especially Thai people who would like to be touched by the cool breeze of winter. The four month period, usually from November to February, is when the northeastern monsoon overwhelms Thailand. The temperature throughout the country drops, particularly on highlands and mountain areas in the northern and northeastern regions of Thailand. The southern part, however, is likely to gain a higher amount of rainfalls during the cool season. The tourists’ favorites for the cool season are mostly natural spots like national parks in the upper part of Thailand such as Doi Inthanon, Phu Chifa, Doi Pha Tang, Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung Palace, Phu Luang, Phu Kradueng, and Phu Rua. Apart from sensing the gentle wind at many destinations in Thailand, there are also a number of festivals arranged along the season, for example Chiang Mai Red Cross Fair, Sakura Doi Mae Salong Festival, Winter Flowers Festival at Phu Rua, Doi Pha Tang Festival, and many more throughout the period. One of the most famous of all events held in the cool season is the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek. The year, the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek is grandly organized to celebrate HM the King’s 84th birthday and all the Thai royal family members. The fair also shows off the potential of Thai agriculturists and helps boost Thai Theeconomy and tourism. The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011 is scheduled to be held from November 9, 2011 – February 15, 2012 at Luang Ratchaphruek Park, Muang District, Chiang Mai. The grand flora event will feature flower gardens from about 30 countries and more from 20 private organizations. It gathers more than two million plants within 10 main exhibitions. Moreover, there will be Thai cultural shows and performances presented in the event.

For me, the best place for travelling in winter is Chaing Khan. Chiang Khan is a small distict of Loei, located quietly and beautifull ON Mekhong riverside. From the long history,  it is understood that how  : root " is important to Chiang Khan people.
Therefore, what soever of Chiang Khan; house, language, food, recreation or any other thing, which the Chiang Khan; all reflect clearly the respect of Chiang Khan people today for their ancestor. The city plan of Chiang Khan may not be much different from other riverside cities, i.e. there is a road alone the Mekhong riverside called  " Thanon Lum " ( Lower ) which has plenty of the old wooden houses that make it highly attractive for people from everywhere to visit Chiang Khan. As for the main road, which is called  " Thanon Thoeng " ( Upper ), it is in urban area so most houses were built in modern style architecture with bright color which is not different from other cities of Thailand.

The best place for travel in the winter is Chaing Khan. It is located in Loei province.
It is far form Loei about 50 kilomate. It is a destination place on a long holiday. There are many attractive place for travelling such a Keang kud koo-it is suitable for taking a photo and also shopping too. I went there last winner with my friend.

I used to go to Wattammuangna; it is located close

I want to go Chiang Khan, Loei.Chiang Khan is a small district of Loei, located quietly and
beautiful ON Mekhong riverside.there is a road alone the Mekhong riverside called " Thanon Lum "

from everywhere to visit Chiang Khan....As for the main road, which is called " Thanon Thoeng "

I like to go to Chiangkhan. It' is a small and lovely town located in Loei Province where the Khong river is the border line. The town is quiet with simple life style of people. It is a very nice place for relaxation and let your mind fly with local life.

I recommend you all to go to Phu-kadung once in the winter.
The scenery is very beautiful and the weather is fine.
You may have interesting activities like hiking , walking along the forest and climbing the mountain.
It's very great to spend good time with your friend at there.
It shows how strong you are also to reach at the top of Phu-Kadung.

Winter is my favorite season. If I have free time in winter, I will go travelling to some where I love.
The place that I would love to travel the most in Thailand is Phu Chi Fah. Phu Chi Fa is located in Amphoe Thoeng in the Chaing Rai Province. Phu Chi Fa is particularly popular with tourists wanting to see the sunrise. In the early morning the valley below is covered with a blanket of fog. As the sun rises, the fog slowly begins to burn off. When the fog lifts, you can see the Mae Khong River and deep into Laos. I really love to see the misty sea in winter.

Last winter, I traveled with my friends at Chiang Khan.
We love everything at there; atmosphere, food, scenery, people and culture.
The atmosphere was very fresh.

Tarutao national park bungalows:
Once home to pirates and political prisoners, Tarutao, at the southern end of Thailand's Andaman coast, is now one of Thailand's best-protected national parks. The interior is filled with thick jungle and all manner of beasties, including snakes and monkeys, and the beaches are extraordinarily beautiful. In terms of places to stay and eat, this protection keeps things at a basic, though adequate, level and on all beaches the only choice is simple national park bungalows, with minimal electricity, and cold water. If you can brave these conditions, you will be amply rewarded, as stunning Tarutao is kept pretty much as nature intended.
